First of all, thanks to everyone for the amazing reception to the book so far - I’ve loved seeing everyone’s photos, tweets and messages (do keep them coming!).
…ok, so that wasn’t a real one.
A brief update today, to make sure you (a special mailing list subscriber, my favourite type of person!) don’t miss out on the launch discount before the book goes up to its normal price.
Last chance for the launch price
As mentioned on launch day, today is the last day of the launch discount for the book - 25% off the regular price in paperback. I don’t anticipate the book will ever be this cheap again, so do pick it up while you can!
(If you’re interested in the book, but not financially in a position where you can afford it - do get in touch - I can help!).
Some questions people have asked…
I’ve had some questions from different types of readers with special requests -
If you are teaching at a college or university and interested in a guest lecture about games user research, the answer is yes. Drop me an email (ux@stevebromley.com) and we’ll get it booked in. If you were interested in buying multiple copies of the book to support a course, let me know as we can do a bulk discount.
If you are already working in games and want to improve playtesting in your company, I’ve been working with teams to help them do this for a while. Email me (ux@stevebromley.com) and we’ll schedule an informal chat about how I can help.
If you’re someone looking to become a games user researcher, you are in the right place. Look at what we have coming up soon…
Coming next month
Our monthly newsletters start next month, and we have some great interviews, resources and additional content that didn’t fit in the book. Unmissable if you’re interested in becoming a games user researcher.
We’ll also be launching the book’s posters and stickers, created by Chloe True, which I’m really excited about!
Doesn’t it look great? There’s more on the way too!
So, lots to look out for. And I’m still really interested in hearing about people’s experience with the book so far, so do email me (by replying to this email), or send me a tweet to let me know your thoughts!
Stay in touch!
